1954 Radios
1954 had many shared radios with both 1953 and 1955, although there were a couple of models that don't seem to be repeated. These radios came from the Spring-Summer 1954 catalog.
4-A-101/4-A-102 "The Air Chief"
Carried over from 1953. Little in size -- BIG in performance! Came in Ebony (4-A-101) or Chinese Red, Pastel Green, White (4-A-102).
4-A-108 "The Trebeltone"
Carried over from the 1953 lineup, the 1954 Trebletone came in kitchen yellow or sandalwood.
4-A-110 "The Melody"
A beautiful hand-rubbed cabinet offered in mahogany, maple, or blond finish. "As useful as a well trained servant! Lulls you to sleep and awakens you to music -- if you oversleep, sounds a buzzer until you get up. Carried over from the 1953 lineup.
4-A-113/4-A-114
Blonde limed oak or Mahogany cabinet, pull out record player, and a powerful radio. Only seems to be represented in the 1954 lineup.
4-A-115
This is an interesting model only shown in this catalog (other 1954 models being carried over). It came in a mahogany or limed oak finish cabinet. I've never seen one of these radios in person.
4-A-121 "The Sunrise"
A small mahogany plastic clock radio. Use as an alarm, and waken to your favorite programs. Carried over to the 1955 lineup.
4-C-23
A light weight portable in rust-colored plastic, trimmed in gold. AC-DC or battery power. The name "Caravan" was used on multiple portables.
4-C-24 "The Vacationer"
A small portable with two-tone green simulated leather. AC-DC or battery powered. The name "Vacationer" was also used on the 4-C-21.
